The Desai family, a renowned and esteemed name in North Karnataka, has long been recognized for its contributions to business, society, and politics. With a strong presence at both state and national levels, our family is known for its commitment to noble and selfless initiatives.
Kumar Group was founded in 1994 under the visionary guidance of the late Mr. Vasanna Desai, a respected social worker and agriculturist. Today, it is proudly managed by an elite business family from North Karnataka. Rooted in horticulture, our family owns and operates 45 acres of farmland in Mudhol Taluk, actively contributing to social development initiatives.
Carrying forward this legacy, Mr. Shashi Kumar Desai, a new-generation entrepreneur, diversified into the automobile sector after completing his engineering degree. Starting with an HMT Tractor dealership, Kumar Group has since grown into a multi-industry enterprise.
With over two decades of experience, Kumar Group has expanded into farming, trading, real estate, and automobile retailing, partnering with leading brands such as Hero, Kubota, Volkswagen, and Leyland. Committed to economic growth and employment generation, we proudly support nearly 300 families, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities across the region.
